Wild Sister Wisdom

At the heart of how I live my life is my greatest wish that all Women, no matter what age, culture or background find a way to embrace the Divine Feminine in whatever individual form it births itself. This unique unfolding holds a magic where everyone in our lives and the planet as a whole is touched by that loving power. 

As a young woman my Spiritual Journey took me to Glastonbury in the UK - known to those that see it and feel it as The Isle of Avalon. I have spent much time over the last 30 years connecting to its powerful landscape and many diverse myths. The Isle of Avalon has shaped my life and work. It is from this rich and magical background that I bring story, poem, song, ceremony and ritual and Drum to Wild Sister Wisdom. These are the foundations of my devotion to Great Spirit.

Working with Women after studying Anthropology at university has been one of most privileged experiences in my life so far. I have had the honour of working with Irish Gypsy Women for many years in Oxford and experienced the quiet yet powerful influence Women had in their communities through their Spiritual beliefs and creativity even though on the surface they appeared to be oppressed. Working with West Indian Women, Homeless Women, Single Mothers, and here in Australia Indigenous Elder Women in the Pilbara and Gascoyne, deepened my belief that Women have a power within them, whatever their circumstance, to shine, strive, and change the world.  Many of these Women intentionally tend to the Sacred Flame in their own unique ways and are Women who wield incredible yet peaceful forces of power. It is this that inspires me most.

My interest in ancient traditions and initiations lead me to become a Marriage and Funeral Celebrant in 2008 and I have since had the honour of guiding many individuals and couples across significant thresholds.  For 7 years I worked in a Steiner School working with Class 12 students guiding them through a substantial, powerful, year long initiation process that prepares them to go out into the adult world with the skills that make us truly empowered Human Beings - beings who are imaginative, intuitive and inspired practically, creatively and academically.

I am absolutely in love with the work of Wild Sister Wisdom. I never tire of seeing Women at circles and retreats, birth drums, dance, move, create, laugh, and rest, and am forever in awe of their capacity to love and support one another with such grace and care.
